Weight Loss Over 40 Plus Daily Record.....Week 21

Week 21: I'm on full foods for about 2 weeks. I have watched my calorie intake but have not restricted my diet. I have eaten at Olive Garden, Cold Stones, and other not diet friendly restaurants. The one thing I have done was watch my daily calorie intake (1500-1900) and maintain my daily workouts. As long as you are willing to pay the price with a good and hard workout program for the foods you eat, you will lose or maintain the weight you have lost. I'm still drinking my 128 oz of water a day, taking my True Essentials nutritional packs a day, and watching the fat grams.

My workout this week was slowed down by my bad left knee. I was unable to do 3 gazelle or spin bike workouts. I did do my 6-8 minute total gym faithfully, some walking and my Tai Chi.

  1. Spin Bike 49 mins (19.5-20 miles)... twice
  2. Gazelle 30 min workout... twice
  3. Total Gym 6-8 min workout... all 6 days
  4. Tai Chi... every day
  5. Walking 5 miles
Weigh in: 248.5.... How about that . I broke the 90 pound mark. Even missing some of my workouts. Through the strength training of the Total Gym ,my metabolism was still working burning fat.

Hmm week 19 and 20: Sorry about the week off but a lot of things have happened. Went to las Vegas week 19 had a very good time until my car blew up. 300 hundred miles from home, thank God for a great son who had work all day, and after a call from me drove 300 miles with a car hauler to drag my sorry butt home 300 miles. I knew there was a reason for wanting a son hehehe. The only other problem with the Vegas trip was a lack of opportunity to workout and no place to do it. I did walk 2 1/2 miles to a restaurant for breakfast on Sunday mourning. After the car blew up I also walked 3 miles to the casino and waited for my son. So much for week 19.

Now week 20: My Granddaughter got married on Saturday, B-i-g party to follow, and Papa (me) was there. Had a great time and so did the wife. So much for what was happening, now back the the weight loss.

Week 19: Full Food, still drinking my 128 oz of water, and taking my True Essentials nutritional packs. I did manage to get my 6 days of total gym in, but not all of my Gazelle or Spin Bike.

weigh in: 253 the 2 pounds was fluid cause by no cardio this week.

Week 20: Full Food, Still drinking 128 oz of water, and taking my True Essentials nutritional packs.

  1. Total Gym 6-8 minute workout (the routine is for 6 days with one day of rest)
  2. No Spin Bike ( I have a bad left knee and hip that was killing from all the walking last week in Vegas)
  3. Gazelle ( 6 days of the 30 minute workout, much easier on the knee and hip)
  4. Tai Chi ( for flexibility and balance which you need has you get older)
  5. Walking ( you know about the 5 1/2 miles in Vegas plus another 6)
weigh in: 251 I feel at a plateau now, I need to change something or wait for my body to adjust to full food ( aka more salt intake).

Come back next week when I break through the 90 pound mark. I am sorry about the delay in this week post. I only hope you start your own weight loss and workout program this week. It will be the best thing you every do for you.

Weight Loss Over 40 Plus Daily Record.....Week 18

week 18: Down to 1 supplement per day. Full food next week. Watching the calorie intake and fat grams. I am learning to eat all over again, being more selective on what I put in my mouth. To much work has been done to get me to where I am today. Take a 9 inch plate cut it in half on one side an a quarter on the other. The half is your vegetables. One of the quarters is for protein (3 oz of meat or a 1/2 cup of beans) and the other quarter for starch ( potato, brown rice). This meal plan and a good workout program will never let you get fat again.

  1. Spin Bike- 49 mins. ( 19.5-20 miles) every other day
  2. Gazelle -30 min workout other every day
  3. Total Gym -6-8 min workout with John Carleo
  4. Tai Chi
  5. 3 miles walking twice a week
weigh in: 251 putting on a lot of muscle and tightening up all over.
I am buying smaller clothes. Everything I own looks like potato sacks on me.
